We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining internal and client organizations’ infrastructure. The focus will be on Linux systems, networking, and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Linux System Administration:
    • Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux–based systems.
    • Implement best practices for security, performance, and reliability in Linux environments.
  2. Infrastructure Design and Maintenance:
    • Design and implement robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
    • Ensure the availability and performance of server environments and associated technologies.

  3. Networking:
    • Configure and manage networking components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.

  4. Cloud Platforms:
    • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    • Design, deploy, and manage cloud–based infrastructure and services.

  5. System Integration:
    • Collaborate with cross–functional teams to integrate systems and technologies effectively.
    • Ensure seamless communication and interoperability between different components of the IT environment.

  6. Performance Optimization:
    • Conduct performance analysis and implement optimizations for servers, applications, and network components.
    • Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks.

  7. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  8. Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Keep documentation up–to–date with changes and improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) as a Systems Engineer, with a focus on Linux environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Proficient scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
  • Excellent problem–solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux Professional Institute Certification, AWS certifications, DevOps Institute certifications) are a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team both in–house and across our clientbase.

Additional Information:

  • This is a senior–level position with a focus on Linux systems, infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
  • The role may involve occasional after–hours and weekend support.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a proactive and innovative approach to system engineering and DevOps challenges.
